All of us have experienced brokenness in one way or another. Without being broken we cannot be healed. Compassion does not mean feeling sorry for ourselves or others. Compassion means feeling empathy for ourselves and others. It means asking, “Where does it hurt?” and listening for the answer. Come share in this day or evening to listen to yourself answer the question, “Where does it hurt?” The program includes a healing service.
Presenter: Deacon Arthur Miller is director of the Office for Black Catholic Ministries for the Archdiocese of Hartford. In addition to his assigned parishes, he is also the Catholic chaplain at Hartford’s Capital Community College. Deacon, author, radio host, revivalist, and retired businessman, Deacon Art has preached throughout the United States on issues of social justice and Christ’s call to “radical love.”
