Welcome to the vital and rewarding ministry of retreat promotion at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center! We are so grateful that you chose to answer God’s call in this special way. The promoter’s primary job is to invite others to experience the retreat weekends and programs at OLC. Please keep this as your main focus, and remember that retreat attendance depends on how the Holy Spirit works in each woman as they respond to the personal invitation to attend a retreat.

Our promotional focus for this year is “leave no stone unturned.”  We challenge you to look for new ways to spread the word about OLC and to promote all of our programs.  We encourage you to ask God in prayer: What is that one new idea that might reach more women at my parish? What day or evening programs inspire me to reach out, and who might benefit from these programs? Who can I invite to share in this ministry with me, and how might this/these person(s) reach even more women through word-of-mouth? To whom can I extend a personal invitation to attend a weekend or day/evening retreat at OLC?  Am I leaving any stone unturned?

As we contemplate the messages to be found in this year’s theme, Drawn into Mystery, we search for our true selves and the mystery of relationships with God, others and self. As promoters, you are part of the mystery of relationships at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center.  You share in the secret of the offerings at the Retreat Center ~ a secret known to some, a mystery to others.  Your efforts are a blessing to those who are ready to hear the invitation to come closer to God.  Know that those who resist may come at another time.  We’ll do everything we can to support you in this important ministry and then we’ll let God to the rest!
