Sister Ann Rodgers, C.P.,  Retreat Program Director, is a Sister of the Cross and Passion. Sr. Ann is a full time staff member in the Ministry of Spirituality as a member of the retreat team at OLC, and a spiritual director. She spent many years teaching at all levels and in parish religious education programs. She holds a Master's degree in Theological Studies.


Fr. John Powers, C.P. is a Passionist Pilgrim Preacher and spiritual storyteller. Ordained in 1977, he is the author of six books for adults and two for children. He has served as a Co-Director, Producer and Host of The Passionist Radio & TV Ministry in Springfield Massachusetts, Director of Calvary Spiritual Center and Rector of Passionist Communities in Shrewsbury Massachusetts and Bronx, New York. Fr. John C.P. now serves as a Pilgrim Preacher of Retreats, Parish Missions, Day, Evening and Overnight Programs. He has preached from Connecticut to Texas, Florida to Australia, New York to Tennessee, Germany to Louisiana.


Sister Theresina Scully, C.P., a Sister of the Cross and Passion since 1966, currently serves as Administrator at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center. She holds a Masters degree in Education along with diocesan certification in Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and has spent more than 30 years as an educator and administrator. For the past 20 years, she has acted in various leadership roles within the Passionist Congregation; currently as Province Leader of Our Lady of Dolors Province.


Sister Pauline Semkow, RSM, is a member of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Connecticut region. She is a full time staff member in the Ministry of Spirituality as a member of the retreat team at OLC and she is a spiritual director as well. Sister Pauline has worked as a pastoral associate and as an educator, and has extensive experience in retreat ministry and spiritual direction. She holds a Master's degree in Math Education and Applied Theology.


Kathleen Chase is a graduate of St. Joseph College having earned a BA in Sociology.  She also graduated from Western New England College School of Law with a JD degree and is a member of the Connecticut Bar.  For the past 25 years Kathleen was employed by the State of Connecticut as an attorney and for the past 16 years was the Tolland Judicial District Chief Clerk.  She retired in June 2009.  Kathleen is a spiritual director having earned her certificate in spiritual direction from the Spiritual Life Center in Bloomfield in 2006. She’s an avid quilter and a knitter involved in the Prayer Shawl Ministry.


Maria Decsy Maria has a Master’s Degree in Spirituality and Pastoral Ministry from St. Joseph College, a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Archdiocesan Spiritual Life Center, and a PhD in Biochemistry from New York University. She is coordinator and instructor for the Spiritual Directors Formation Program and teaches at Villa Marie Education and Spiritual Center, Villa Marie, PA.


Noranne Wamester is the pastoral Associate and Director of the Office of Faith Formation at Incarnation Church in Wethersfield, CT. She is a spiritual director, a retreat director, and a free lance writer. She is a graduate of St. Joseph College, received her Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry from St. Joseph College, and completed post graduate studies there. She also received a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Mercy Center at Madison. She received a certificate in bereavement counseling and has directed bereavement retreats for the Archdiocesan Family Life Office.


Kathy Irr is the newest laywoman to join the OLC retreat team.  She is a registered nurse who has worked for more than 30 years in the arena of psychiatric nursing and as a high school nurse. Presently she is a spiritual director and an experienced retreat director. She has extensive experience in the twelve-step program. Kathy has been married for 28 years and has two grown sons. 


Our Lady of Calvary staff members are available to present day or evenings programs to groups such as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Religious Educators, Small Christian Communities, Faith Sharing groups, and Women's Guilds.
