![]() Sister Ann Rodgers, C.P. , Retreat Program Director, is a Sister of the Cross and Passion. Sr. Ann is a full time staff member in the Ministry of Spirituality as a member of the retreat team at OLC, and a spiritual director. She spent many years teaching at all levels and in parish religious education programs. She holds a Master's degree in Theological Studies. ![]() Sister Joanne Fahey, C.P. is a native of Rhode Island and is currently serving as the
Interim Administrator here at Our Lady of Calvary. Sister Joanne entered the community of the
Sisters of the Cross & Passion in 1964 and professed her first vows in
1967. She was involved in Education
during her early career, teaching in schools staffed by the community in New York, Connecticut,
and Rhode Island.
In 1985 she responded to her community’s call to establish a mission in Jamaica, West Indies
remaining there for two years. Upon her
return from Jamaica,
Sister became involved in retreat ministry. She was the Administrator and
served on the retreat team at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat in Farmington, Connecticut
from 1991-2000. Sister Joanne remains
active in the ministry of Spiritual Direction. Sister Pauline Semkow, RSM, is a member of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Connecticut region. She is a full-time staff member in the Ministry of Spirituality as well as a member of the retreat team at OLC, and she is a spiritual director as well. Sister Pauline has worked as a pastoral associate and as an educator and has extensive experience in retreat ministry and spiritual direction. She holds a Master’s degree in Math Education and Applied Theology.
Maria De csy is a member of the OLC Retreat Staff and a teacher of World Religions at Manchester Community College. She has a Master's Degree in Spirituality and Pastoral Ministry from St. Joseph College, a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Archdiocesan Spiritual Life Center and a PhD in Biochemistry from New York University. ![]() Celeste Calabotta, Music Minister and pianist at OLC, has
Bachelor’s degrees in English and Philosophy and a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature. Her over thirty years’ of teaching experience
has included middle and high school English, Freshman Composition at St. Joseph College, and over 18 years of
teaching Confirmation at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Hartford. Celeste has also worked as a corporate
recruiter and a communications consultant at MassMutual Insurance Company in Springfield, MA. She began studying contemplative prayer five
years ago, has been professed as a Lay Carmelite, and
coordinates Lectio Divina prayer groups
at St. Thomas
and Our Lady of Calvary. She lives with
her husband and two children in West Hartford
where she teaches piano in her home. Annemarie O'Connor The newest member of the OLC Retreat Team, Annemarie
holds Masters in Pastoral Ministry and Social Work, and has served in both
university and parish ministry and in various areas of social work. She
interned at the School of Servant Leadership at the Franciscan
Center for Urban Ministry and received
her certificate in spiritual direction at Mercy Center.
She is part of the Contemplative Formation Program at Mariandale
Retreat Center
and has served on directed retreats at Linwood
Spiritual Center
in New York. Our Lady of Calvary staff members are available to present day or evenings programs to groups such as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Religious Educators, Small Christian Communities, Faith Sharing groups, and Women's Guilds.
