The 2007-08 Retreat Season marks our 50th Anniversary and we have lots of special programs in store. Plan to visit us often, and bring a friend!
Multi-Generational Celebration of Motherhood & May Crowning May is "Mary's month" and we'll celebrate with a May Crowning ceremony and special brunch dedicated to mothers and their children. Our statue of Mary will be honored with a wreath of blossoms-signifying Mary's virtues as Queen of Heaven-as we invite any child who has recently received First Communion to participate! Mothers, grandmothers, godmothers...even those special women who are "like a mother" to someone in their lives, are invited to attend with their children (all ages are welcome). Come enjoy a delicious brunch and meet our guest speaker, Joan Dylan of WRCH-FM. A photographer will also be on hand to provide professional-quality family photos (at an additional charge) as a memento of the day. Reservations are required and space is limited, so don't delay! Don't miss our Annual Fashion Show with all proceeds going to benefit the Retreat House! This year
we're celebrating our 50th Anniversary with "Fifty Years of Fashion" - Vintage clothing and accessories
graciously provided by the Warner Theatre, Torrington. Models will saunter the runway to the
sounds of "Oldies but Goodies"...all our favorites from the past five decades. Commentator Marie
DiBenedetto will once again share her gift of laughter, entertaining us with her unique "fashion sense."
Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, coffee & dessert plus the renowned Basket Raffle make this a

Enjoy a challenging day of golf and help the retreat house at the same time! Participation includes: 18 holes of golf with
cart, use of driving range, lunch and dinner. Contests for Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Pot of Gold Hole for both
women and men. All proceeds benefit OLC's operating budget. Sponsorships available at several levels...promote your

Come celebrate Father's Day weekend with us and spend a fun-filled day with other retreatants and their families. Our special guests will include Fr. John Powers, CP-children's book author-who will present special "storytimes" for the kids. And you won't want to miss the extraordinary artistry of Michael Higgins, an environmental artist whose tool of choice is a chainsaw! Right before your eyes (and ears), he'll create and complete a custom wood sculpture-cut, sanded and colored! We're also making this an "International Potluck"-we'll provide the hot dogs and hamburgers, you bring a favorite family recipe to contribute to our "global smorgasbord!"
