Stewardship
From the Administrator
Last fall, during one of our women's weekends, I met a retreat scholarship
recipient. Recent medical expenses had left her financially struggling and depressed. She desperately
needed a peace-filled spiritual lift, and Our Lady of Calvary became her oasis. With tears in her eyes, she
hugged me and voiced her unending thanks for the opportunity to "come to the quiet." Gifts to our Annual Appeal
helped make her retreat a reality.
This season, our theme, Who do you say that I am?, reminds us that Jesus is called by many names: Emmanuel, Messiah,
Prince of Peace, and Giver of all good gifts. Throughout our 50 years, God has abundantly gifted Our Lady of Calvary
Retreat. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of retreatants and friends, we are able to maintain and even
improve our spacious and peaceful facilities. Gifts to our Annual Appeal also make possible programs that are all-encompassing
and relevant to the challenges of our times.
Your gift to OLC's Annual Appeal will not only sustain our present success, but also keep us moving toward a bright future of
service to women of all ages.
Looking back on our 50 years, we see a history rich in the fulfillment of women's spiritual needs. I invite you to
become an important part of our future, as we evolve and grow into our next half-century. Your gift today will help us
achieve our goal: to satisfy the spiritual needs of today's woman with relevance, respect and compassion. I am
counting on you to help make our vision a reality.
With deep gratitude,
